What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful

What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful - Marshall Goldsmith, Mark Reiter One sentence that stayed with me long after I finished the books was "Stop trying to coach people who shouldn't be coached". Amen to that.

The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles

The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles - Bruce H. Lipton It is not an easy read. If your last memory of biology is from class 10 then it will be that much harder to read this book. Cells, membranes et al. it is a good attempt at explaining the synergy between mind and body, energy and matter. Don't take this book with you on a vacation, but do read it when you need some brain flexing.

Oh yeah and I did not read the last 2-3 pages as I still am in that space where I cannot digest science mixed up with philosophy and nirvana.

Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives

Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives - Dan Millman I personally was not impressed with the book, it seemed like a bad rehash of various books on eastern philosophy. This book might be a good read for people who would like to be introduced to eastern philosophies.

Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny!

Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny! - Anthony Robbins, Frederick L. Covan This definitely is not a 'once read' book. There is just too much info in a single book , too many exercises , too much to assimilate. I for one need to read it again. I liked the concept of pain pleasure linking , moving towards and away values.

The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem: The Definitive Work on Self-Esteem by the Leading Pioneer in the Field

The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem: The Definitive Work on Self-Esteem by the Leading Pioneer in the Field - Nathaniel Branden Initial few pages were interesting. People who have never given much thought to self esteem can get a clear idea of what it is and why it is so important for personal well being. But it kind of gets repetitive and frankly boring after a point, its almost like pages have been filled out where a single word or sentence would have done the job.
